Membership Dues Payment
Payment in Advance
All membership dues collected prior to the Convention by an authorized member of the association at both the National and Chapter level shall be considered to be payment in advance, and shall be credited toward the fiscal year that stared on July 1 of the Convention year. For example, all dues collected prior to the 2017 Convention shall be credited toward the 2018 fiscal year that ends June 30, 2018.
Late Payments:
All membership dues collected after the annual Convention and credited toward the fiscal year that started July 1 of the Convention year (at the member’s choice) shall be defined “late payment”. For example, payment received in December 2017 and credited toward the 2018 fiscal year that started July 1, 2017 shall be considered “late payment”.
Payment on Time
All membership dues collected during the Convention by an authorized member of the association at both the National and Chapter levels shall be considered to be “payment on time” and shall apply toward the fiscal year that started on July 1 of the Convention year. For example, all dues collected during the 2007 Convention shall be considered to be on-time payments and shall be credited toward the 2008 fiscal year.
Transitional Period
Due to the fact that the Constitution allows for the annual Convention to be held within 60 days into the fiscal year, the period between July 1 and the Convention shall be called the “transitional period”. During this period, registered membership for the fiscal year that just ended shall remain valid. Considering the fact that Convention dates vary from year to year, transitional periods shall also vary from year to year. However, the duration of membership shall be stated in terms of July 1 to June 30th, or lifetime membership, as the case may be.
