Membership

Any ex-student of CPC Bali who was enrolled for at least one full academic year at the institution, and is compliant with the principles and policies of the Association, may become a member of BOBA USA by accepting the terms of our Constitution as well as the Constitution and By-Laws of a Chapter; and by paying annually, in advance, the requisite membership fees as prescribed by the General Assembly. Membership in Chapters shall include membership in the National Association.
An associate member shall be any person who: 1. Has been on the administrative, teaching or auxiliary staff of CPC Bali. 2. Is the spouse of a BOBAN. 3. Has any other close connection with the institution and whose membership is accepted after a formal application is submitted to a Chapter of his/her choice. An Associated member shall enjoy all the rights and privileges of a full member except they shall not be allowed to vote at the General assembly and will not be eligible to run for elected office. An Associate membership card issued and signed by a Chapter president (or in the case of the non-existence of a Chapter in a member’s locality, by the National president) shall be evidence of Associate membership in good standing.

Any member who pays, in advance, the equivalent of 10 years of the current membership fees and completes such payments within a period of three consecutive years shall be granted the status of a life member. Note: The Association reserves the right to cap the number of lifetime members.
The title of honorary member shall be conferred by Chapters or the National Association to individuals or organizations in the community who the Chapters or the National Association may from time to time identify as having shown extraordinary interest in the Association.

BOBA USA NATIONAL DUES

Membership Dues Payment

Payment in Advance

All membership dues collected prior to the Convention by an authorized member of the association at both the National and Chapter level shall be considered to be payment in advance, and shall be credited toward the fiscal year that stared on July 1 of the Convention year. For example, all dues collected prior to the 2017 Convention shall be credited toward the 2018 fiscal year that ends June 30, 2018.

Late Payments:

All membership dues collected after the annual Convention and credited toward the fiscal year that started July 1 of the Convention year (at the member’s choice) shall be defined “late payment”. For example, payment received in December 2017 and credited toward the 2018 fiscal year that started July 1, 2017 shall be considered “late payment”.

Payment on Time

All membership dues collected during the Convention by an authorized member of the association at both the National and Chapter levels shall be considered to be “payment on time” and shall apply toward the fiscal year that started on July 1 of the Convention year. For example, all dues collected during the 2007 Convention shall be considered to be on-time payments and shall be credited toward the 2008 fiscal year.

Transitional Period

Due to the fact that the Constitution allows for the annual Convention to be held within 60 days into the fiscal year, the period between July 1 and the Convention shall be called the “transitional period”. During this period, registered membership for the fiscal year that just ended shall remain valid. Considering the fact that Convention dates vary from year to year, transitional periods shall also vary from year to year. However, the duration of membership shall be stated in terms of July 1 to June 30th, or lifetime membership, as the case may be.
